Smoke Hole Trail Daze 2016

Trail work and anchor replacement are planned for the Guide Walls area of Smoke Hole Canyon on the weekends of April 16-17th, with a repeat performance on April 23rd and 24th.

We'll be camped at Thorn Springs Campground on Friday and Saturday nights, April 15th and 16th, with plans to meet up with the rest of the volunteers and park extra vehicles in the commuter parking lot at the end of Reed Creek Road, ten miles north of Franklin and just south of Upper Tract, WV, on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

We'll hand out breakfast burritos and hot coffee before heading down into the canyon for a morning of stewardship, before running up a few of the excellent lines, new and old, to be found at this crag.

Saturday night, volunteers are invited to join us in the campsite at Thorn Spring Campground, 3 miles south of Franklin, to share a meal, sip a few cold beverages, and get to know some of your fellow Smoke Hole enthusiasts.

Sunday will basically be a repeat of Saturday, with hot grub and coffee available, rendezvous at Reed Creek, and another day of trail work and climbing, before we all head home for the beginning of the work week.
